Hearing Aid Evaluation and Selection
During the hearing aid evaluation, multiple hearing aids are showcased. It is still up to the patient to decide which device they are most comfortable with. Trials are available for certain products to help the patient come to a final decision.
Hearing Aid Fitting & Programming
When a patient’s hearing aid is programmed, an appointment is set up for the fitting. This is the best time to ask questions about the new equipment. Bringing a trusted friend or loved one to the fitting is recommended for moral support. Live speech mapping is a revolutionary new way for audiologists to customize hearing aids. During the hearing aid fitting, a machine shows sound in real time. With this information, programming accuracy is much higher than with previous methods.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Proper care and maintenance makes hearing aids work longer, and more effectively. Minor repairs are done onsite at the local office. Major repairs require sending the device off to the manufacturer.
