COVID-19 Protocol

As I’m sure you’re aware, precautions are being put into place nationwide to decrease the transmission and spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Your overall health is our top priority. We have new protocols in place to help prevent the possible spread of germs. We are offering “drive-up” appointments for those whose hearing aids are not working or for those who need to pick up supplies. These appointments need to be scheduled. We ask that you wear a mask. We will collect your aids from the car, clean and check them and bring them back out to the car when they’re done.

For those patients who need more assistance, including Lyric patients, patients who need hearing tests, and those who need more extensive reprogramming of their aids, we are allowing in office visits. These appointments need to be scheduled.  All patients must wear a mask. We will give you a fresh pair of gloves upon arrival. We will also take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. Those with temperatures over 100.4 will not be allowed to enter the office. We are only allowing one patient into the office at a time. No one is permitted to sit in the waiting room. In between visits, we will be wiping down surfaces with alcohol and/or Clorox wipes. We have installed plexiglass dividers to separate the Audiologists from the patients as much as possible. We also have a plexiglass divider at the reception desk.

We are also offering telehealth virtual appointments to those patients who would prefer to have their hearing aids programmed without coming into the office. This option is not available for every hearing aid – ask us if you are a candidate for that option.

As always, your health and safety is the most important thing to us. If you have questions regarding any of this information, or would like to discuss your hearing health, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (412) 407-9197. We look forward to continuing to help you on your hearing journey now and in the future, and wish you the safety, health, and happiness in the upcoming weeks.

Yours for better hearing,

Eartique
