ENT Services Overview

Visiting an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor might sound daunting or even produce some anxiety or fear; however, by learning about our professionals and the services we provide at Mountain ENT, you’ll see that an appointment with us is the first step in a journey toward a more rewarding and healthier life.

Symptoms we treat

We treat many types of symptoms, finding the root cause and providing a care option that lasts. In fact, people with all types of issues come and visit us. Common reasons to visit an ENT include:

  • Lump in the neck
  • Change in voice
  • Growth in the mouth
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Changes in the skin
  • Persistent earache
  • Chronic sinusitis
  • Deviated septum
  • Loss of smell
  • Hearing problems

Mountain ENT staff provides a high level of service for all patients of all ages, whether they need sinus, ear, mouth, nose or throat care. Through diagnostic measures and examinations, our ENTs discover the root of the problem and can determine the best method of treatment. Mountain ENT also offers computed tomography (CT) scans, which enable doctors to detect the smallest differences in tissue in order to diagnose myriad health conditions. Treatment options range from medications, medical devices and, sometimes, corrective surgery.

Some of our services include:

Sinus care

We treat people with chronic sinusitis and rhinitis. People with persistent inflammation or swelling of the sinus tissues could have a condition called chronic sinusitis. The treatment of the chronic sinusitis depends on the issues causing it; an ENT can run diagnostic tests and evaluations to determine the cause and establish the proper treatment method.

Ear Care

Individuals with ear infections, tinnitus and vertigo can be treated by our ENTs. Through hearing evaluations, our ENTs and audiologists can identify, diagnose and treat all types, degrees and severities of hearing loss. Additionally, treatment options can be established for people who suffer from chronic ear infections, which can actually lead to other issues, including tinnitus and dizziness

Nose and Mouth

Individuals with chronic nose bleeds or snoring issues can also benefit from a visit with an ENT. While chronic nosebleeds are rarely a sign of a life-threatening issue, there are several issues that cause the symptom; many of the causes are easy to treat. Snoring is also rarely caused by a life-threatening issue (though enough of it at a loud enough volume could become life threatening if your spouse has a hard time sleeping through it). Nevertheless, snoring is treatable, often with simple medical devices or procedures

Pediatric

Unfortunately, children are not immune to allergy and sinus issues. Our ENTs specialize in working with children to identify, diagnose and treat allergy and sinus issues as well as chronic tonsil or ear infections.

Throat

People suffering from hoarseness or thyroid disorders can often find treatment and relief from an ENT. Because the thyroid gland is located in the middle of the neck, ENTs are capable of diagnosing and treating thyroid gland issues. Diagnostic testing is often required, but the results often lead to a life changing treatment.
